How to Join Go Run
Check our website on Thursday nights to
make sure we will be at the Civic Center
then just show up around 6:30am.

We meet near the tennis courts at the Civic Center almost every Saturday morning.
Please do not buy new shoes until we get a chance to talk to you.

 Go Run

1. What is the cost?
 We charge $100 for a 6 month training program.


2. What is the money for?
 We provide you with water and Gatorade, a training schedule, training seminars, a  RRCA training coach, a base camp coach, a Go Run shirt and lots of new running buddies.
         
 

3.  What time will we meet on Saturdays?

Our start time on Saturdays will vary according to our mileage for that day.  We want everyone (walkers / runners) back to the Civic Center by 8:00am.  . So, our goal is be done by 8:30 am.

 

4.  What if I can not make it to every Saturday run / walk?

Not a problem.  We understand you have a life and that you have weddings, vacations, and emergencies.  You will be given a training schedule, so you can do the run / walk on your own the days you have to miss.

   

5.  I am not fast; will I be out of place?

No, we want everyone to feel welcome.  Our goal is train you at the right pace for you and to get to the start line healthy. 

 

6.  I have never walked / ran in any race, will that put me behind?

 Go Run does not require you to have previous experience. 

 

7.  Who should join Go Run?

Anyone who is interested in feeling better, getting stronger, making new friends, and wants to get involved in a healthy lifestyle sport.

 

8.  What topics will the seminars cover?

The seminars will cover healthy training habits some examples are:

            *injury prevention

            *hydration

            *nutrition (before, during & after a run / walk)

            *shoes

            *apparel

            *stretching

 9.  What is a supported walk / run?
We will be there for you.  We will provide water & a sport drink along the route every 2 to 3 miles.  Julie will stay at the base camp (Civic Center) and be ready to pick up anyone who is having a bad day.  
  

10.  How many days of a week will I have to walk / run?

You will walk / run 5 days a week.  We will train with the easy / hard principle, so some days will be longer than other days.  Saturday is the longest run of the week.
