No Saturday Night Group Picture
Julie and I will not be able to meet for last minute details and group picture
because my last softball game starts at 3:00pm so we will not get on the
road until 6:00pm!

Race Day Rules:
1. Plan the work, work the Plan
2. Nothing New on Race Day (no new expo gear)
3. Have a B & C plan...just in case it is very hot or very cold
*(you can not control the weather, you can only prepare for it)
*That means give yourself a break...if it is 80 degrees (San Antonio 09')
you probably will not have a new personal record!  If it is 40 degrees or
less it will also be tough.
*What is your plan when things get tough...mile 24?  Focus on keep moving
forward!  Try changing your gait...length of your stride...go faster...hook
on to someone who is passing you.  Sometimes your muscles need a
change is speed / pace (get out of the rut).

Race Day is coming.  Review the checklist and get your bag pack now!  This will reduce race day stress and make the day more enjoyable.  You cannot control the race day weather but you can prepare for all conditions.

Remember the Road Race Rules:
1-Nothing New (no new shoes, socks, or clothes)
2- Plan the work, Work the Plan
3-Have a Plan B & C
